The words I posted on the anniversary of when Much Better Half and I met are far better as a tale of romance when accompanied by the music. As I mentioned, that had been lost in the move, and so I had to re-write it. This I have done, and I have now slightly revised the words and put the whole thing on the following YouTube:
Even with the music, I suppose it is a bit boring as romances go: no splitting-up or tragic partings or irreconcilable arguments or torrid affairs or whatever to spice it up …
Still, we like it that way.
Awwwww 😀

Particularly when one adds on the story that by eventually deciding to get married rather than continuing our adventures by going to England, we saved our lives. There were no survivors of the crash claiming the aircraft we had been booked on.

You were very much around, just then! And had, in fact, been so for many years — sometimes as an encumbrance when your brothers and I wanted to go out adventuring rather than childminding!

. . . we too are fans of boring, long-lasting, uneventful romance . . .

The strange thing about it being that it turns out satisfactorily filled with interest and events!
