August is our month of gales and the first of these was duly dished up today (now yesterday) with all the trimmings. Nevertheless, it has been an amazing opening to the month. I started by tracking down some useful things (including my family bible more than 100 years old that we couldn’t remember where we had packed) in our hut while searching for a slide projector I am going to need shortly. I also considerably tidied said hut in the process. I was also able to send a message of congratulation to a new author on a book now up and running – more will follow on that.
I have also been corresponding eagerly with a delightful half first cousin that as of last week I didn’t know I had.
I turned my attentions to our storeroom, and quite soon, though cunningly concealed, I found the projector.
Then I had to take kids to swimming, where they had a ball. It was back to lessons for J after a month break, but squad had made up for much of it! After that I hid some timber down the beach path and counted the number of steps so that a donator of poles can add to the collection. Then, in due course, I can repair some more steps.
Back home we started to construct a much larger trampoline just purchased. This is going to be fun!
Just before supper I tested the projector. It still works. Amazing!
This evening I opened negotiations with a famous author for us to publish a really super book in UK/SA.
Quite a day; I am blown away!
P.S. And then J has to go and spoil it all by having another fit, so it was off to the hospital at 2 a.m. Left her there on a drip, and Younger Daughter stayed with her. Now I’ve probably got to take the lift club kids to school at the crack of dawn. (deep sigh)
Hope the results are positive from her scan, sending good wishes to you all

I did think I’d been seeing you very sporadically.
This was the second seizure in a few months. The first time she actually had meningitis. It was put down to arising from a sinus infection.

Has it now been properly diagnosed?

They don’t have a clue at the moment. That was a fairly clear-cut case of infection/temperature/infection spreads/seizures. This time there wasn’t much temperature. Hopefully EEC done today will tell more.

Thanks, and Today produced some more not-so-nice stuff out of embarrassment at how sweet her sister Yesterday was.
