Really Awful Rhyme for no Reason

I’ll be walking down the aisle upon the Isle of Capri
It took a lot of wile the while I got her to agree;
The ringing of the bell will show my belle will not rebel —
She’d excel locked in a cell should she my ring attempt to sell.

Today did not follow the example of yesterday and was, on the whole, crummy. Bedtime at 04h00 meant tossing and turning until after 05:00, and then up again at 06:00 for telephone call from daughter at the hospital. Household chores, cleaned pool, assembled a bit of the trampoline after finding first attempt was wrong, hassles with correspondence, and a dash off to squad swimming.  Thence to hospital to see J who was distressed because they wouldn’t allow her beloved sister into the ward (under 12). Then dropped Much Better Half and R at MBH’s sister’s place while I dashed back to school for a 5:30 p.m. meeting of Squad parents. There I chirped about some issues, and got no support — except for after the meeting when some parents praised me for what I had said. Fat lot of good that does. Collected family, and home.  Tried the projector I had dug out. Won’t change slides due to a spring that has gone sproing. Ran into problems with novel I am hoping to publish, just to round the day off.
