Good Buys and Fare Well at Fairs

My latest batch of purchases at our local flea market on Saturday found me lashing out a massive sum of R60-00 (abt $4-11) on carefully chosen CDs and DVDs.  That Frank Sinatra DVD is full of memories. It has the Rat Pack in full force, Elvis, Peggy Lee and loads of others.

Then, in the other packs, are a total of 11 CDs crammed with music!  To someone of my vintage, the operettas particularly bring back memories with Naughty Marietta, No No Nanette, Roberta, The New Moon, The Student Prince, The Desert Song (I’ll have fruit salad and ice cream!), The Merry Widow, Showboat, and Rose-Marie, all in full and with excerpts from loads of others.

Unforgettable is 3 CDs of far more modern pieces starting with ‘I’ll Do Anything for Love’ (but I won’t do that!).

Then, the piano pieces . . .  You name it, it’s there!

Entertainment for trips to school and swimming and so forth is sorted for some time to come, indeed.

  5. Sounds like you got a real bargain at minim-al cost. The easy listening collection should prevent you from getting the blues and feeling crochet-y on your school runs. 😃
