Today a garden visit planned
For Garden Judges and their friends,
To garden that is really grand,
And everyone in raptures sends.
Rhiannon, though, on trampoline,
Got ankle in an awful twist,
And so it meant a doctor seen,
And tour around the garden missed!
Those who attended had a ball:
The visit was a great success;
And then free lunch was had by all —
That we feel bitter, we confess!
Rhiannon has iced ankle-guard,
And sat around to watch TV,
I on pool filter worked quite hard …
Not really fun, you will agree!

I used to use a very large elastic resistance band to exercise and strengthen my ankle when I was dancing a lot to help after injury.

The 2019 Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Do you two by any chance live close to a Chinatown where you can witness or even participate in the celebration?

Hey, Sound Eagle . . . frankly, I’m not that much into new year celebrations, be they from whatever country or culture. Paraphrasing River, years are an arbitrary marking of time passage based on solar cycles.
Time knows nothing of the measurements we apply to its passing.
I kind of like the fireworks of some celebrations but don’t go out of my way to look at them. This past new year they happened to be right outside our window. Last year, they were a mile away (an easy walk along Alii Drive) and we opted to watch reruns of Wings.
As for the dances and celebrations, I don’t watch parades be they cultural or not. I’ve been living two and a half years in Hawaii and I’ve yet to attend anything cultural. I like some of the artifacts, but I’m as interested in their beliefs as they are in mine. That is to say, not.
Call me a dud or slug but it’s just not in me to partake (not even on television).
However, thanks for the invite. Perhaps someone will be more interested than I am.
