Really Awfully Cut Off

A double length of flex is joining the four wires in the phone/internet cable while the blue rope takes the strain off the connections and lifts the cable.

Our gardener needs to be fired:
When trimming some limbs on a tree
Caused phone line to need be rewired
As you in the picture may see;
The job may look quite rough and ready,
But that was the best I could do
In keeping four small wires steady,
For signals there still to go through,
It cost me some internet down time,
Till I could come up with this plan,
I knew it would be stupid-clown-time,
To wait for repairing-type man;
Yes, gardener needs to be fired
I’d do it as quick as can be,
But then he would just get re-hired —
You see, that-there gardener is me!

  8. Big smile. Love the phrase “stupid-clown-time,”
    (and sympathy, there’s the time we left the several strings of Christmas lights in one flowerbed of tropical plants/under the small palms to ward off lingering cold weather…only the gardener was talking while edging the grass …)

    Hilarious! I was waiting for that punch line.
    As my daughter calls it – a ”Daddy Moment!”

    Haha – twist at the end that you are the Gardener – and hopenit all
    Works out (you seem pretty clever with connecting to make it work til a permanent fix comes)
