GloPoWriMo Day 23 Prompt is as follows:
“And now for our daily prompt (optional, as always)! I’d like to challenge you today to write a poem about an animal.”
For dogs to co-exist, the cat
Will lay down some conditions,
With each one held as right: and that
Are firmly held positions;
The dogs must always keep their space —
To bark at cats is a disgrace —
And cats have always pride of place,
Which are the prime traditions.
Cats must have first choice at the food,
And, even when they’re playing,
Dogs barging in is very rude,
Bad manners thus displaying,
And should the cats elect to swat
The dogs, they certainly must not
Retaliate or lose the plot,
These rules thus disobeying.
And, likewise, when comes cuddle time,
And humans try caressing,
It must not be a muddle time,
Priorities are pressing:~
The dogs stand back while cats get stroked,
Those that do not, in eyes are poked,
But, after privilege invoked,
The dogs enjoy de-stressing.
As long as all these rules are kept
Completely to the letter,
All dogs that have become adept
Will have their lives made better;
They get to share an indoor space,
And lick a friendly furry face,
That will not strive them to displace,
As an unworthy debtor.
very nice 🙂

You’re definitely pro pussy Lesley, perhaps you should now write a poem where the DOG takes centre stage if it that’s possible 🐶 🐶🐾 🐻 🐻

Only could be written by one of a mixed household. They do have their treaties and trade agreements…with a few skirmishes – only to maintain reputation among peers?

Enjoyed that! I had a visit from Big Brother, Paul, yesterday. He was asking after you and Sheel, and sends kind regards.

I have been wondering how he has been doing. Pity he doesn’t do social media. Please give regards back — er, not HIS, our fresh ones!
