It seems the name of Sharkie
For new pup’s not quite right,
And neither, quite, is Darkie
For reasons I won’t cite,
And nonsense is Malarkey,
Though fitting, to degrees;
Quite useless would be Barky —
He don’t do much of these.
And no good would be Spikey,
The truth, there, is the grouse;
We could, of course, try Mikey,
But that’s too like a mouse,
Or even, then, choose Highkey —
Voice, locked outside the place? —
You may ask, “Yes, but why ‘key?’”…
A poser, there, to face!?
So, Jack, from Jack the Ripper;
Another with a chance;
When let loose at a slipper,
Shows worth more than a glance.
My favourite, though, is Loki —
The Mischief God, you know —
Though it brings back in tow, ‘key’,
It goes well with the flow!
Yep, Loki works. 😀

Particularly as he has gone into total chew mode — except for the toys bought for him to exercise that passion

It’s a start………. we said Maggie was a people magnet and she cocked her ears up at Magnet, hence her name.

Always a great idea to let them do the final selection!

Loki is a great name for a cute dog.

I like it, and in proof of cuteness he was attracting a following from all round at the flea market, even in competition with Maine Coons.

What a pretty puppy dog, hope he takes his rightful place at the Colonialists Kingdom

Only, all the rest of us feel that place should be at the bottom of the heap but he is giving signs of strong disagreement!

He is gradually working his magic on you so how about Merlin? Failing that go down the Harry Potter route!

Good thoughts, but I think Loki is establishing itself.
