Free of medical appointments today and yesterday, I had some time and opportunity to do a bit of pottering. There was a dentist appointment for J in the afternoon, but he took a quick look and said nothing needed doing, this time.
The pictshahs say it all, including the Furs-day, but I leave the Fry-day to imagination other than mentioning that it featured lamb chops, eggs, chips and tomatoes:

Repaired umbrella stand base.

A snatch of seaview visible from the cottage obscured by trees.

The snatch opened up after much sawing

A closer version of the ‘snatch’. Now, where can we get a rocket launcher for the palms?

Why sleep comfortably when you can be really awkward about it?
You didn’t have medical appointments–that’s the best part of the story! But you didn’t sit back and take a rest, you busied yourself and made your pond area view quite lovely! 🙂

Thank you; it is coming along. The foundation is almost laid, at any rate.

“Why sleep comfortably when you can be really awkward about it?” Replace ‘sleep’ with always any other verb and you have not so much my personal mantra (nothing is ever deliberate for me) as an accurate summary of my life to date.

I take it you have been ascending sheer cliffs when on the other side of the hill is a gentle slope?

It often appears to be so, taking a sledgehammer to crack a walnut as it were.

On the positive side, it certainly does the job!

I like a good fry up. The snatch opened picture just displays one of the little blue squares

I hate you, Derrick. That second sentence cost me over a day to try and fix, and then fix the things that had become unfixed in fixing. Eventually I had to almost redo the post, leaving just enough to retain comments etc. Then, finally, the comment section was assuring me that comments were not accepted here even though I had checked they were switched on.

Please don’t hate me – what a pain

It was. The sense of triumph at finally getting a post without that glitch was profound, though.

You were really busy! I love the cat’s funny sleeping position. He must have been very tired of all the pottering you did in the garden.🤣🤣
