A Dozy Day

Catss on bedToday, when came the time to rise
I stayed, to everyone’s surprise,
In bed where I was happy
I was pinned in, completely; quite;
By cats, as I had been all night,
They both had status nappy.

My breakfast I declined to take,
For that would mean my sleep I’d break,
And, likewise, lunch, a good bit later,
Each cat decided to concur,
And both gave vent to happy purr,
That they could stay as waiter

Then supper I did deign to take
But after that I thought I’d make
Some blogging-type advances,
Though up for that at half-past five,
Felt back to bed I should arrive —
With sleepless night take chances!

    There’s nothing like just taking a day off and spending it with cats, in bed. 🙂
