Sleep Addiction

I blogged too late the night before,
Not taking of my rest a score,
So when it came to sleep,
I carried on for all today,
And did not bring the blog to play,
But simply counted sheep.

Chorus:
Hey nonny-nonny, nonny, hey,
I’m filled up with lie down and stay.

Now that it is another day,
I do not know quite what to say;
So think I’ll carry on
With resting for today as well,
And then in bed may as well dwell
Until the day is gone.

Chorus.

As for the night, well, easy that,
I feel like sleeping more than chat,
So may as well just doze
Until the night has also flown;
Unnatural, I freely own —
Maybe the meds they chose?

Chorus.

    Oft I burn the midnight oil
    For in darkness I like to toil.

    They say lost sleep one cannot regain
    and shortens one’s time in this reign.

    But methinks life’s years I’d gain
    equals the time that sleep I feign.

    For one cannot will sleep to come
    and ones plans to rest come undone.

    Eh, the cadence is awkward, but I ain’t got the skilzs for this kind of writing.

    I could with something to help me sleep, though I’d rather not have the ones you have and for obvious reasons! 🙂

  4. Medications can definitely make you feel tired and sleepy. Maybe it is best to rest.

You have the right to remain silent - but please don't!
