Wordle 429

Beer Drinking at Political Rally

True thick salty brew,
Milk of millennials champ will imbue;
Like marching for rights card-carriers due —
Luscious, ‘tis true!

Here again I have required a leap of imagination to arrive at the sense, in order to add as few words as possible, rhyme, and use the given words in order given.

The computer and WP are between them going to drive me to insanity. I hate the block editor with a passion but cannot get out of it. My sound comes and goes. I get a ‘threats found’ virus notice every few seconds, but when I challenge it to do something about it what comes up says everything is as clean as a whistle. When I run the fixing programme anyway, it says everything is fixed. Two minutes late comes the ‘threats found’ notice again.

I think I am going to give up blogging and take up knitting instead for the sake of my sanity.

  1. I managed to get out of the Block editor rubbish, but don’t ask me how. I always hold my breath when I do a post, hoping it won’t read its ugly head again. 😳

The only threat I find here is the sinister concept of “imbibing salty brew”. Fine ale is very offended by your poem, sir.

That makes two of us – I also hate the block editor with a passion. It’s the update that’s buggered it. Please let me know if you figure out how to fix it. That’s if I haven’t slit my wrists by then. Great rhyme by the way.

You can get a script to force a return to the classic editor at Greasemonkey. Also, search Diary of Dennis for “return to Classic WordPress editor”. It worked for me and I am a happy blogger! (I’m not that tech savvy but the instructions were easy to follow)

    As for the threat virus.
Are you running an anti-virus program or using the built-in Windows Defender?

  8. I persevered with Gutenberg long enough and have now reverted – you should have an option to do that?

Hoomans hate change and yet constant meddling is forced upon us. I’m going to be in a position to change that, one day, after the revolution, when I will return life to the way it was in the old days.

WP has yet to change my editor. I dread the day that they do, for I shall not be a happy bunny.

They’ve made a few changes. Now, when I create a post, it remembers to stick with the classic editor. Same for when I copy a post (it used to change to block and I’d have to change it back).

I wonder if it works differently there than it does here.

You have the right to remain silent - but please don't!
