This is MacGregor – an aritistic cat. He has a grand position and is picture perfect. No doubt he feels that if a toy dog can be left there (I suspect the two-year old granddaughter) why can’t he join it? He will take due note of anyone playing.
I have reached a point in the final movement of my second symphony where the music runs for just over five and a half minutes, and I have to take a policy decision. Rest my case, or launch into an entirely new idea? I think any more music on the lines of what already appears would start to get monotonous, but if I go further I’ll need a key signature change and possibly want to alter the time as well. Then, development of a new theme is likely to make the movement pretty long … *sigh*
I think I’ll start, and see what happens!

Go with the flow and follow your heart.
Love the majesty of the cat!

I am doing that!
The cat has a superiority conviction. He tolerates his slaves, though.

I love the composition on the piano too.
Take care.

Thanks for saying so! That is a lot faster and easier to do, as you can imagine. When one has all the instruments playing at once, there are an awful lot of notes to enter.

Busted! *grin*
Let the music flow – go where ever it takes you and rejoice in where ever it leads you. Music flows and can not be forced…. But then what do I know… I never got further than grade 8… 😦

I’ve been letting it do that, and it is still doing!
I never got anywhere NEAR Grade 8!

If you don’t experiment with a new theme you won’t know if it’s an improvement or not. Besides, it’s good to challenge yourself and break out of a pattern now and then. Good luck! Nice cat.

The new theme then departed into yet another – but I am having fun!

Is that a Petite Grand?

He is, and it is!

He really does fit in well there, although he should ideally be in front of the dog 🙂
Good luck with your composition!
