REALLY AWFUL ILLUSION

 

You may come to the conclusion
That this here is an illusion
And the chances are that probably you’re right;
You will not yet be discerning
That to blogs I am returning,
For the midnight oil I still am burning bright;
I have added, since departing –
And upon the Quest re-starting –
Words some thirty-two more thousand to the text,
And it really is exciting
When I find that, as I’m writing,
I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next!
So now, while the tale is flowing
I must really keep it going,
Till illusion to reality is changed,
And back here I can come bouncing
For delightedly announcing
That to read my latest book can be arranged!
But your comments in the meantime
I have read all, in this lean time,
And appreciate them more than I can say
Yes, each visit I am yearning
Very soon to be returning –
Though illusory, I have not gone away!
