An email from Granny 1947 giving a startling weight loss I can enjoy, posted here, inspired my fair attempt – ? 🙂 – to remodel it as a Really Awful Rhyme:
Startling though it may well be,
Starting less of that to see
Staring at one in the face –
String along to lose the ace –
Sting: another without trace!
Sing out, more has now been lost,
Sin, and get to count the cost,
In this rhyme, of startling word,
I was left, now how absurd!

Fab poem, Col. I really love Granny’s idea. So inventive. But I also love this treatment- it has the ring of one of our folk poems.

Thanks – it was certainly a good exercise for my elderly braincells!

So I won’t remain silent!
Clever word play, Col. All Col’s followers: He’s got a book in a competition but is too modest to punt it properly! In fact, two books:
Tabika Towncat visits the countryside. A must-read for everyone who enjoys cats, fun and humour.
Baa Baa Black Belt: A lamb with a(n invisible) black belt in karate.

Thanks for doing some promotion! Not so much modest as not knowing which of too many irons in the fire to take out and use!

🙂 Let’s hope this one worked – I think it was the hammer (same one that was used to control Wolf)

Too kind – one simply needs to mix kindness with firmness in getting the words to jump through hoops. 🙂
