WordPress is doing strange things. I wondered why this post of last night attracted no attention whatsoever. The explanation appears to be that although I know I shoved the ‘Publish’ button very firmly and was sure I saw a response – nothing actually happened. These studies of Annie working hard at taking it easy remained lurking in ‘Drafts’.

I have gratefully adopted an option that takes one back to the old format.
Sane behaviour doesn’t happen much, here.

After the beeper finally opens the new post screen there is something top right (if I remember correctly) which lets you opt out of progress. I can’t replicate it because mine now automatically goes old-style.

You’re right, Col, there are strange things going on at present. My reader is showing posts three times over, and then again further down as I scroll. I think it’s all to do with that beep beep beep thing with the new post entry screen. Don’t use it myself…

I wondered what had happened! No sign of your usual flair.
I’ve complained about the WordPress hooha too – they trashed my poem and when I typed it and posted it again, the original re-appeared.
