Two Too, Too Really Awful Rhymes

The Day 19 Prompt: a creation poem.

The Myth Tree of Creation

And Dog said let it be
To everything you see;
So then he gave a woof,
And showed a little toof,

Whereon, immediately,

But starting with a tree,

(A lava tree, of course,

Was what came into force),

The Universe City

In every fine degree

Came to be; let it be;

Let it be; let it be;

Let it be;

See?

A Clerihew to catch up by using the Day 14 Prompt.  This is a weird form which satirises the famous, needs their name as the first of four lines, rhymes AABB, but encourages questionable rhyme and staggered meter.

Danish Vikings

Danish Pastry

Alfred the Great

Wasn’t great at a grate with cake

But improved beyond doubt

When he took the Danish out.

  1. Well done!
    For once I could understand it all !
    Probably because of the mention of a dog, I’m rather fond of dogs, one in particular who appears regularly in my blogs.
