CAPTION COMPETITION FOR SEATED DOG – VOTING

 

Way back in history I ran a Caption Competition with this picture:

Since then I have been promising to post the entries for judging and/or making excuses for the delays.   

Are you sitting down?  In a secure spot from which you are unlikely to topple, with injurious results, when you faint? 

 OK?

 Are you sure?

 Quite sure?

 Well, then, I have done it at last!

 Now, as with previous contests, all you have to do is to take the ones you think are best, second-best, and third-best, and write down the numbers in a comment here in that order, e.g. 34, 21, 58 (yes, Ermintrude, I know there are only twenty-one entries, but this is just an egg sample …).

 Scoring will be done with 3 points for a first, two for a second, and one for a third.  Votes are also invited and expected from contestants, so if you think your own caption is a better or best one, feel free to vote for it!

By the way, I took the subject to school today to fetch young R, and the kids all wanted to hold the ‘puppy’ and pet her.   She loved every minute!

1 “They asked me: “You wanna sit for Mo’s art.”
“Who the hell is Mo, I said?”

2 “Find another piano; I’m busy with my last movement.”

3 You’re barking up the wrong tree, I said pooch – not pianist

4 I can play ‘one pawtato, two pawtato, three pawtato, paw.’

5 “I’ll play any song you like – as long as it’s Bach.”

6 “No Schmackos, no play.”

7 First the treats, then the sonata.

8 “My first piece will be How much is that doggy in the window, and I will conclude my recital with And they call it Puppy Love. I thenk you.”

9 A really good yappy-toire!

10 Don’t you DARE! This is MY piano!

11 And now, ladies and gentleman… I’ll be performing Col’s latest sonata in F sharp minor.
Do listen up!

12 You can sit down on one condition, you don’t play “Bow, Wow, Wow!” again!

13 Shave AND a haircut . . . Two Bites!!!

14 “Yes, I am talking to you!”

15 I’m telling you, it’s not that difficult! If Liberace could do it, so can I….

16 I am fed up with this yap music, out of the way and let me play.

17 “Okay… Bach’s concerto in d minor, and please don’t make a mess of it this time, my ears are very sensitive..”

18  ‘You can stop calling me a caterpillar now. See, it was me all along under that fluffy stuff!’

19 “No way you’re sitting down! . . . I’ve heard you play before . . . “

20 It is not tuned, I promise you.

21 “One more step and the photographer gets it!”
