Dr Seuss:
I do so like green eggs and ham.
Thank you. Thank you, Sam-I-Am.”
Me:
I hate green eggs and ham a lot.
Thank you. Thank you, Spam-I’m-NOT!
In spite of communications with Akismet and responses from them, most of my comments continue the habit suddenly started last week of diving straight into the Spam bin. Particularly if you have a ‘Like’ from me on a post, chances are that one of my comments is clutching at the bars of your Spam folder, sobbing bitterly. Please liberate!
Dr Seuss may be the culprit for priming me to love rhyming(ly).
or perhaps it was Edgar A. who served me the Poe on the poet-tray…

Or maybe you were given DIY Keats?

I don’t know if this is a new trend, but I’m getting stacks of ‘track-backs’ every day! Come on Akismet…!

Trouble is that some of those are genuine bloggers. It is annoying having to distinguish.

I’ll check for you in my spam folder. That is an awful place to be, even if you’re not a vegan! 🙂

Very clever as always. Let’s hope you get it all sorted soon

So do I! It is demoralising to give comments or responses and not be sure whether they will ever be read.

Sam was a purist and only like ham, he would not approve of spam. No how, no way, WP hey, fix this soon.

I wish they would sort it out! People who clear their spam files unread are going to lose all my deathless prose.

This happened to me for a while…

I wonder what on earth causes it?

Was just telling another blogger I have had only two trolls so far on wp and I knew exactly who they are.

How do you handle them?

In my case, the one I spammed, the other one’s name I mentioned in my reply to her

That would have sorted them!

Well she still reads my blogs and then interprets them as having a personal message for her. Yes I know I should ignore but it puts me off blogging.

Maybe a way to put HER off for good would be actually to have a very personal personal message for her!

I am thinking about it, thanks.

I set one of yours free this morning. Your last comment came through loud and clear.

Oh, good. They are still disappearing into the void for many people, though.

If you actually liked green eggs, I’d have to leave your comments in the spam folder 😉

I would be in egg green meant with that!

Your comments in my rubbish bin!
Surely that would be a sin
But I will indeed take a peep
Your words will be the benefit I reap

Your comment link takes one to Gravatar, and your blog isn’t on that page. That makes it hard to return visits!

That is something that drives me bonkers, wasting time looking at Gravatars instead of reading beautiful/witty words.

It isn’t so bad as long as the blog link is on the Gravatar page. Only one extra click.

But far too often there is no link with the gravatar.
