It does my heart good that I raised them to be OK with doing their own thing. Suppose that’s our job at the end of the day – to give them wings. And teach them how to use them properly…

My daughter posted on Facebook that it was her last first day of school. She graduates in May!

That is such a major thing in one’s life – moving beyond something which has been a feature of by far the greater part of it up to that time!

That makes me think of the transition I’ve gone through as a writer. My whole life and lifestyle has changed. Maybe I should have Danny take a picture of me at the front door!
