Easter is upon us, and today the time has come
For Christian introspection, and for feeling rather glum,
Then, Saturday becomes an in-between-ish sort of day –
Activities resume, but in a wishy-washy way;
But Sunday is when Christian spirits should arise to be
Far more, yet, than for Christmas, in a state of ecstasy.
On a less serious note, when young R was collected from school on breakup day, the resident geese were again in evidence at the school pool awaiting a (Seniors) gala which was about to start. Staunch supporters, obviously!
So cute! The Geese look like they are ready to jump into the water for a swimming competition. Ready, steady, go!

It was so funny! They did look as though they wanted to enter the gala.

It was awesome. They each took their own individual row as well.

Lovely geese!
I sat there early this morning, and remembered one of my favourite stories of all time, when Mary thinks the gardner has made of with the remains of Jesus. And when she asks him what he has done with this remains, the gardener say: “Mary”
One of the most magical moments of all time: it beats a baby in swaddling, for sure.

Indeed they are … and it is, and it does.

Do you think that R would be able to beat them in a race to the other end?

I seriously doubt it – especially as they have recourse to flight in need!

That is such a special photograph – definitely worth submitting.

It seems that whenever I want a similar one, all I need to do is find a swimming gala on the school calendar!

Oh No, for me Good Friday is not glum
For me the whole year adds up to one sum
That Jesus died for my sins and to save me
Makes me very very hap-py.
That One should love me so much so
That He would to The Cross go
He is alive , there is no doubt of that
Not walking earth but on Throne sat
High up in Heaven He waits for me
To join Him there and be forever free..
PRAISE THE LORD AND HAVE A GREAT DAY

Love the geese all lined up, waiting for a gander at the swimming contestants. 🙂

Just to be different, Good Friday is a normal working day in Northern Ireland and our holidays are Easter Monday and Tuesday. I bet those geese swim better than I can!

That certainly IS being different! What’s Tuesday got to do with it, I wonder?
They are certainly the best swimmers there!

Col, I never discovered what the Tuesday was all about, perhaps it was an anti RC idea and to allow theproddy natives have their long weekend!
