Lots of Legs-up, Finny Features, Just Geese What . . . Ducks, Deadly Flutter, Filinus Furfluffs

It is currently — ha ha! — lightning-ing like anything and the crashing thunder nearly sent me crashing through the ceiling, after a flash like little eyes so helpless and appealing (Thank Heaven for Little Girls).

Much time has been taken with some book launches about which much will be written anon.  In the meantime, to keep us out of mischief, we spent today judging some gardens entered in the Durban and Coast Horticultural Society Garden of the Year Competition.  Some utterly stunning gardens were viewed, and we met with some charming inhabitants.
