A Slow Day

My meds are all leaving me tired
And sluggish to quite a degree,
I need to be getting hot-wired
For more than a snail’s pace to see,

Today simply shopping down local,
While taking some stuff to the dump,
Had me then becoming quite vocal
That I’d rather sit on my rump.

Still, I took a physical checkup
As offered by Medical Aid
Thought might as well see what else heck-up,
If anything, on my health grade.

Well, that seemed to come out quite healthy
Apart from known issues I’ve got,
And in garage tidied a shelf the
Condition of which good was not.

Next, drawer in the girls’ room repairing
Meant need for restoring a slide,
Bust glass shelf in fridge then despairing
Of taking it out from inside.

Then I still continued pool lining
Removal, til balance I lost,
And into a cycad, reclining,
Was done at some damages’ cost.

I patched myself up with some plaster,
Tried blogging, but internet out,
Which is a recurring disaster
I’m not very happy about.

At ten-ish, it’s lately restoring,
When I’d rather start the night’s sleep;
Result, I cannot help deploring —
Irregular hours I must keep!

While waiting for this restoration
I still fairly active have been:
Appended improved peroration
On previous post may be seen.

Your exhaustion seems well-earned! Glad your health is strong despite the factors you’ve faced thus far. You have a busy life. 🙂

The beasties seem to approve of the deconstructuation. 😀 … when one overbalances and falls into the shrubbery it’s time cuppa tea (or the restorative beverage of your choice) and contemplate the universe for a while. 😀

I’m not surprised you’re tired, you do too much – slow down!

We have a goodly collection — Mr Mack, Pearl, Amber, Cassie, M, Blackit, and Katie Purry. Now we are actively seeking a large dog to add to the other elderly three as a disincentive to wrongdoers.

  8. You never seem to rest, Col. Anyway, I’m glad your checkup was positive. I think you need a holiday, but then you’d probably spend your leisure time thinking of all the chores you should be doing. 😀
